No Sound on HP Laptop

I have lost the Sound on my above Laptop. I have tried the usual places,looked for Volume Controls.looked in Device Manager and done a search for Volume Control Files.Nothing showing up. Any help much appreciated.

Windows has a nasty habit of losing drivers (and sound drivers in particular). Try downloading the driver for your laptop, installing it and restarting your computer:

Is there a manual adjuster on the laptop for sound volume? On my older laptops, it was a little 'wheel' at the side.

Don't know what happened but I Uninstalled something called Sound Max,Normal sound is now perfect,Only thing I have lost is the Tray Icon.Many,Many thanks to you both for your help,Much Appreciated.
