Wrong tax letters being out now?

How far back does this problem go? Is it only for last year or could it be a few years to pay for/receive for?

I heard today (and I hope it's wrong) that so far, it's just the tip of the iceberg. It's thought there may be 18million more letters to be sent out. It's a complete mess. As I say, I hope that info is wrong. Can anyone update me?

So even with Labour charging so many people too much tax over the past however many years, they've still managed to land the country up the proverbial financial creek without a paddle?
