i hope you lot are not neglecting your housework while your on here,i must go and do the washing,do dishes make dinner, take dog out, mind it will only take 10 minutes, put dirty dishes in dishwasher, put clothes in wishy washy, put ready made meal in oven and put the dog in the garden,i am what is known as a modern housewife????
I am very lucky that the man hostage has been looking after me recently... Worryingly, two friends I've had round previously when he's stayed have commented that my room NEVER looks as tidy when I do it...
that advert.....where women are depicted as 'not working' while men go down coal mines at 16, annoys me. 'Housework' includes the word 'work' which is ongoing 24/7 !
I used to be really good at doing housework, then came to the realisation that it was a complete waste of time, as is ironing. The place is relatively tidy, loos and sinks are hygienic, washing is up to date. The rest can wait until I have a vast pang of guilt. Why waste your life on housework when you can be on AB!!
on a 'normal' day, i'll blitz the house within an hour when i come home from dropping Mini Boo off at school, thus giving me most of the day to mooch on here. However, on certain days- like the day before a work shift, or if a room is looking particularly cruddy i'll knuckle down and completely clean from top to bottom.
I remember the days when I'd go over the house like a White Tornado, the lot done in a day, after that it was a bit of tidying every day.
Today its all a chore, because we're decorating furniture is being pulled out and behind most the dust is piling up and up. The skirtings, well I'm ashamed, soo its making me think now I'm going to get a lady (who does) in once a week to keep it down.. The most I do these days is dust the computer screen.
I tend to do most of it on Mondays, as this place is horrible after the weekend. I work both Saturday and Sunday and am too knackered to tackle anything those days and im not sure Mr Boo knows where the sink is.
