There is a soapy looking scum on the top of my pool. The water is quite clear but has this soapy waxy scum on top. What can this be.

It's probably algae caused by reaction to sunlight. you need to disinfect the pool regularly.

It´s probably body lotion or suntan oil.....where do you live and have you been using the pool?

Nobody, but nobody swims in our pool without showering first.

Its an out door pool. Getting is ready for summer and haveny swum in it yet. Done all the acid thing and chlorine but has scummy appearance on top.

brinjal....get you pool cleaner to check the pump.......there could well be an air leak in the return valve.
nah, you'd have to have continual digs at my expense (like Sqad) to offend me ;o)

Im the pool cleaner. but will get the pump checked. thanks for replies I think . :)
