Paula was his foster sister who went to ask for help from her natural father, who turned her away and she later died. The father was er his wife's father.

Falling asleep midway was the best thing you ever did Angie. OK, so Gavin had a foster sister who happened to be the daughter of Peter (Prue's father). Peter had turned her away when she came to find him. She had been abused by Gavin's father (her foster father). Gavin loved this girl and that's why he wanted to ruin Peter's life. Gavin also slept with Cassie (Prue's mother). What a load of cr@p. A waste of three hours of my life. Wish he'd jumped out of the balloon sooner .....

I disagree smurfchops - I enjoyed it, but maybe that's because I'm old enough to remember the original series starring Frank Finlay, which is why I watched this adaptation , though I do think this one rushed things and was not as exciting as I remember it. In the '70s it was quite dramatic and daring.
