I took my Nan round to see him (she's in a home) and I usually go and get them some lunch. He wasn't hungry. He had some cooked sausages in the fridge and I said maybe I'd make Nan a sausage sandwich. No...they were his sausages..!!!
lol if you got a local farmfoods nearby, they sell bags of big carrots for 60 odd pence 67p i think) just get ya gramps them and tell him they will last him all year. lol
My Grandad sent to to the butchers for 2 thin pork sausages, 1 rasher of bacon and a slice of black pudding. I felt a right wallly until the butcher said " you'll be shopping for old Mr ???? then"
maybe spains different, its quite common to see people in my fruteria(greengrocer) buying single items, i even starrted to myself now. mind you its literally a 2 min walk.
The other week he was put to bed by the carers...and then phoned my Uncle to ask him if he could come round and take a chicken thigh out of the fridge for him because he was a bit peckish..
I know ummmm, but this the way they become sadly! They become wery self involved! I don't know why!.........but they do!.......self preservation maybe?.....very common in the elderly...............
