Not going to court??

I am the main witness i a court case and i attended for the 2nd time today and once again it was ajurned to a later date. Am i allowed to pull out from the case and drop charges against the defendent??? This is because ive moved on with my life since the incident and is starting to effect my and my family as its dragging on? Thanks

If you are the one pressing charges then you can withdraw at any time but police may not be happy and charge you with wasting their time.

You are free to drop charges, but it doesnt mean the police will. If you've gone to court twice, you must want justice.Be patient, it will get sorted soon.

You can pull out anytime you like. I think its perfectly reasonable to not want to go any further because of adjourments due to inactivity by the courts and the police. I wouldnt worry about what the police think, its whats best for you....if you feel you have moved on then just move on and dont let the police or anyone stand in your way.
