After 30 years, Sony is to cease production of tape Walkmans in Japan.
I don't think many will mourn the passing of the Walkman, but what I would mourn would be the passing of the blank audio tape.
What better way was there of recording Radio, complete with a radio cassette recorder, (which are also becoming scarce) one only had to press the record button, and it was 'on tape'.
Ah, those days of recording the top twenty onto tape then editing out the voice of the DJ.
Mini tape disappeared almost as quick as it came out, for the sheer convenience, what have we now to take their place.
