And I don't know how to get rid of it. There is a reason why remote controls should not be left in the hands of those who are unfamiliar with it. In my case I think my dad was messing about with it last night and and AV1 with a box and arrow appears on the top left hand corner. I am obviously unfamiliar with certain buttons on the control myself so can anyone help me?

If not, please ignore this post.

I've pressed that button and first it takes me to TV which is analogue and pressed it a second time and it took me back to Digital but the symbol won't go off my screen.
i+ on top left? (it's an i on my Panasonic)
Have you tried pressing the central button, to accept the 'AV1' option, or using the 'Up/Down' buttons to try to change the option (and them pressing the central button)?.

Alternatively, entering the menu will often cancel any other on-screen messages. (Press 'Menu' to access it, then press it again to cancel it).

I've tried pressing the OK button but it won't go away after a few seconds which it should do.
