what is the usual way of typing a letter where the builder is not registered for vat? would it be usual to write the amount followed by the words "not subject to vat"?
Sorry, I realise my question is not clear. A friend of mine is a builder and he asked me as a favour, to type an estimate for a client of his. He is not registered for VAT. What if anything should I type on the letter to signify that the client does not have to pay VAT because the builder is, quite legitimately, not registered? Many thanks.
