I have a 2001 Vectra 1.8 Club, I have three children, two are in car seats and the older one sits between them.
The seating in the Vectra is moulded so the space between the car seats is small. I have a tight budget, but would like to change the car with a bit more space or one with just flat (not moulded) seats in the back. I don't really want to buy a MPV, and would like to keep the same sort of size car that I have currently. Can anyone suggest an alternative to the Vectra?
Look at a used Skoda Octavia. You can pick them up v reasonably in either hatch or estate versions - try the main dealers first via the web. They have loads of room, are cheap to run and ultra-reliable..............and the dealers are great. Ignore the "badge snobs", Skoda have been building really good cars for some time now, (see the last Top Gear Survey, for instance they beat Mercedes hands down). There are 3 Skoda's in my family and we all love 'em.
