Hi Ed, sure this has probably been suggested before but what is the chance we might one day be able to edit our owns posts? For some reason I only ever notice errors after I have hit submit, even if I read through it first.

Problem is...someone could put something abusive and then go back and change it.

Then that would be good surely?
I would strongly disagree with this, as it would lead to people saying things then editing them to look innocent eg.

Jim: I think Jack is an idiot
Jack: Yes well I think you are a ****

Jim then edits his post to say: "I would like to wish for peace on earth", making Jack look like a fool.
As SB says....the trolls would be in heaven..
I find editing very useful, but I can see people would abuse it. But I think most people would realise that.

hhhmmm, guess I will just have to pay more attention.
Just check before you hit submit, I never get it wrong.
I would rather it wasnt available, the ability to not edit has caught many a multiple user out accidently posting as someone else
Who were they, cazzz? I'm just curious, but glad they were caught out.
But if the editing was down to bad taste couldn't it then be reported and removed? I'm guessing only a tiny minority would abuse it, hardly fair to the rest of us upstanding answerbankers.
I couldnt say on here but it happened more than one time, ironically I never noticed at the time that the posting occured lol ;)
