I've just bought a domain, but now I need to create the site but have no idea where to star! Any help'd be much appreciated!

Go to www.nvu.com and download their free web design package then Google for nVu tutorials. This will get you started. Also look at www.about.com for tutorials on web design.

there are two routes to making a website. you can either do it all with a wysiwyg editor (basically like Word, but making a website instead of a letter), or you can write the code that goes on behind the site. if you want to go down this route, you could learn the coding that goes on behind the website; it's called HTML. adding to it is CSS, and maybe javascript. that's what all websites consist of. some have flash too, but that should be used sparingly.

http://w3schools.com has some good tutorials on all the above I've mentioned.

Hi Chrissielou, I recently got hold of a copy of Netobjects Netfusion7 from 'Websitemaker' magazine in WHSmiths. This is WYSIWIG (what you see is what you get) software, and from knowing nothing about website design/programming I built a site in a day for my in-laws business. Their marketing advisor told them they should pay about �1000 on the open market for a comparable site! It really was very simple.

have a look on www.netobjects.com for more info. Fusion9 is the latest version (costs) but v7 is often given away free on computer mags. Its a great solution for you if you don't want to get embroiled in the intricacies of HTML coding etc.
