Transferring files

How do I go about transferring about 50Mb of files off an old computer to my new laptop?

Some of the files are up to 5Mb in size, so won't fit onto a floppy disc.

The old computer does not have e-mail or the internet, and does not have a CD burner.  I've tried attaching both an external CD burner and a memory stick, but neither are compatible, so I'm totally stuck for ideas.

Thanks.

If the old computer has a USB port, get a 128Mb USB key
