i'm trying to find out the name of a song i heard years ago...

it's sung by a woman - think she was blonde - the sound had a big band/jazzy type feel to it...

the video featured her sitting on a chaise long surrounded by golden retriever dogs

some of the lyrics included

'the more i think of you, the more i love my dog... the more i see of men, j'adore mon chien'

any ideas???!!!!

The song is called Dog and it's by a band called Dictation.

The single was originally released back in Jan 1996 on Blue Iris records but later on Peach (a sub of Zomba).

"Dog" being the A side and an extended edit of "Upside Down" (non album version) on the B side.

There is still a 12" dance version on vinyl floating around with two remixes of dog, one very Underworld inspired (watch your speakers!), the other one a fusion of funk and Joop!

The singer wasn't blonde but a brunette, Rebeca Wernick who went on to be in the girl band SuperGirl.
