I hope you can sleep tonight kate, Rex is at peace now, no more troubles x
So sorry to hear this kate, My little mate Ollie went to sleep nearly a year ago now, doesn't seem that long ago, but I have lovely happy memories of him, and you did the right thing by him, not an easy decision I know!...........treasure your memories of him, and try to feel at peace in the knowledge that he is at peace now.......Take care...
It is terrible when you have to make that decision. My girl was put to sleep in Feb aged 10 after a short illness with her heart. It is the hardest decision to make but the kindest.
I still miss her everyday. Their lives are just not long enough.

rex got to the ripe old age of almost 16 which is a good age.i am going to my bed now and hope i feel better in the morning, goodnight all and thanks.
Rest well kate - sweet dreams if you can, ttfn ♥
Sorry to hear about Rex Slinky. Its horrible when you have to make such a decision and I and many others on here can understand how you feel. My cat Snoopy had to be put down in 2000 on my birthday of all days. I was distraught for days afterwards. He lived to 15 but he was still my little kitten.

Tiggs, Bluey and myself are thinking of you xxx

had a hellish night, getting rex cremated and they are bringing his ashes to me on saturday
You just need to take your time now, I wish we had paid to have max cremated individually but it was too expensive for us last November with his vet bill aswell. That's why I am glad we have had Bingo buried as he has a lovely grave. You just do your best for them don't you?

dotty i was just reading your post about your cat,so sorry' did you manage to get to the cat rescue centre?son coming up to put his stuff away and throw out his bed,i was worse today than i was yesterday,i think it has just all sank in.
I'm really struggling getting any word back from the two places, I don't want to ring them again yet though. Can you not donate his bed etc to a local animal rescue place?
Question Author
naw dotty his bed stinks he was very incontinant,it is a cloth one.when we were coming back from the vet last night i could see rex's footprints in the snow where he walked up to the car.some of my friends has asked for something of rex's so i will give it away or donate it
oh no his footprints that's so sad, they'll clear when the snow goes, I'm so daft I;d have taken a picture of that, then my kids would really think I was potty : (
