nope. Love it.
still not decided, might not put the usual decs up this year.
I shall studiously ignore it - as usual. It eventually goes away.
It is a rare chance to get the family together for one day, and for that I am grateful. I never go OTT, a few decs and couple of presents etc.. but have to admit that I like Christmas time, I just do!
Nah..........i'll be in the gaffe in Spain:)
Not religious and hate the fact we have to take holidays at the coldest time of the year:(
Don't really bother with it; but we do have a really lovely lunch ;- D
Just the same as any other day really.
How many of those who supposedly celebrate christmas actually do celebrate CHRISTmas? My guess is that the majority really celebrate St Nicholas's Day. IE, good excuse to overindulge and overspend.
I only bother a little. Don't do cards and certainly don't go overboard with the spending. Bit of extra food and booze and, of course, I have concerts to take part in.

I buy presents only for immediate family and we always have a nice dinner, especially if our son comes to visit, but other than that I don't bother too much.

I guess if I still had little ones around then I'd do a little more, but I don't, so I won't.
I'm just glad for the paid day off. ;-)
madmaggot - good point. I see xmas as a time for parties, friends and family and rarely consider the religious aspect.
Interesting post, maggot. I'm an atheist, so don't actually celebrate CHRISTmas as such - that's just a label for a time of year when I can kick back a little, appreciate a little niceness in this miserable world and look forward to brighter times ahead.

I celebrate St Nicholas' day separately every year because that's my birthday. <:-D
Don't bother with it at all. An excuse to put more rubbish on TV. And no I'm not grumpy it's just not for me.
Exactly the same as sexy jag, without the concerts to take part in.

Not a fan of Christmas at all, but the holiday is a good time to see family. Roll on spring!!
agree with cailindeas,so boring but 2 days off work.
Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Sing we joyous, all together,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Heedless of the wind and weather,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
When is Christmas this year ? Is it on the 25th again ?
love xmas, at xmas time. not in october/november.
I think it's great.
