American Dress Sizes

What is a UK size 12 in American sizes, it has been asked before but it gives conflicting answers, some say it is one size up and some say 4 sizes up ????

if it is the same as shoes it is two sizes up, a UK 6 is a US 8

Uk 12=american 8. I love shopping in the states as it makes me a size 8!!

Heather Wells, at US size 12, is about a 14/16 if she shops in the UK. And it's NOT fat. ;-)

UK12 = US8 or US10 - it really depends on the brand and the cut. I am a UK14 but I either buy US10 or US12.

As for shoes I am a UK4 and a US6 fits perfectly.

UK 12 = US 8

Im a 12 and often shop in Gap as the jeans are a good fit. They keep to American sizing and size 8 fits me perfectly. If in doubt, give them a try, they have the best customer service ever!!

I always used http://www.coatsize.c...5326/Dress-Size-Chart to help with converting sizes from US to UK or whatever. It works pretty good no complaints here!
