sphygmomanometer pronounciation

I'm not entirely sure how to pronounce sphygmomanometer but I need to say it in a presentation in a couple of days.

Can someone please write it phonetically for me as I don't have much of an idea at the moment.

So squad, as a distinguished retired doctor, how would you pronounce it?

my gosh we didnt have sphygmo.....s back in our day for A level bio - we did have disection though of all sorts of beasties though.....and it was the major part of the practical exam.

We've disected loads of stuff so far; cows, lambs and pigs hearts, the entire respiratory system of a sheep I think it was, and those of us that did the demos at parents evening did frogs.

A manometer is a general term for a pressure measuring device for fluids. The 'sphygmo' bit at the front is from Latin Sphygmus - the pulse.

Chambers also gives alternative name of sphygmometer.
