Traffic update just said snowing in Newcastle. Nothing in Leicester yet,but a strange colour in sky 2.30pm - too early for sunset - and very cold.

Woke up to four inches snow here at White-le-head, Co Durham. Really cold temperature -1. Forecast to get colder with more snow on the way.
