As for the cryptic clues, I am getting parts of the clue and can't seem to fathom out the other bits
eg. frozen food specialist, barrier across a gap. could be something bridge or gate , can only think of iceland but cant find a place called that. OR am is my thinking totally incorrect
any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you smouse , Took your advice and got no 17. I had googled "frozen food specialists", couldn't get the answer, then googled "a list of.........". I'm enjoying doing this quiz- quite a challenge and something to do when we're stuck indoors. No rush to finish it.
