Am I right in thinking that 'It's just an old fashioned love song, coming down in three part harmony' was written and sung by Paul Williams, an American singer/songwriter?...and on which album? Ta Muchly.

Singer-songwriter Paul Williams recorded his own version of the song he had written, which was included on his 1971 album Just an Old Fashioned Love Song. Williams later performed the song when he appeared on The Muppet Show in 1976.

Yes, him of the 4ft and a bit stature and very blonde hair,
the album was called just an old fashioned love song, he write loads back int he 1970s, alot of Carpenters songs, he was always on TV and radio back then

He had a very strane speaking voice, he was in a film too, not sure if it wasn't Airplane, (not the Leslie Nielson series)

Ooops!...sorry, but Many Thanks Both, I've just googled it and found it while waiting, so Many Thanks for your time. Yeah, Dotty, I remember him being small and chubby and blonde too with specs and I guess it might have been on the Muppets too that I heard him sing it...could hold a note though - and while I mention Muppets, does anyone remember those badges which were all the rage?...can't seem to find 'em now...I miss 'em, especially my favourites.
