Disappointing to note that once again the eminently sensible policies of the Monster Raving Loony Party have been spurned by the electorate. The 'Paint it Purple' proposal struck me as as the perfect answer to social unrest and economic recession.
What is important is not who won but what a battering the Tories took.

This would not be important if they had a big majority - but they do not.

If this continues and a few seats change hands in by-elections over the next couple of years the coalition could find themselves loosing the ability to defeat rebellions like the Student loan vote.

Once a party's rebels start to get a taste of power governing becomes difficult.

Clegeron will be hoping there are not going to be many marginal by-elections
