I bought a new shower head with multiple settings for my Triton Shower unit but it will not run hot, water is cold, tried different settings but still no joy anybody able to help. Thanks
:-) was wondering if it was a back pressure thing. Probably not though.
Unsure if this Triton is an instant shower or one that needs a hot supply. Last time I tried to help in a shower related question I got flak for assuming the wrong thing.
It may be that the new head is giving too much back pressure and restricting the water flow. Most multi-function heads need a fair bit of pressure to operate correctly, but a Triton shower merely heats water at cold supply pressure.
If the flow becomes too restricted, the unit protects itself by switching off the heating. Oncethe flow is restored, the heater will switch back on, but initially the flow will be cold until flow is detected sufficent to restore the heating.
Thanks for all replies which are most helpful, it is a Triton Electric Shower, I have taken the shower head off and let the water run throught the hose but still cold, it was workng perfectly well before I changed the head. If the hot water doesn't come back do I need a plumber or electrician to help sort the problem.
