TYPE OF SCREW.

Can anyone tell me the correct name for a type of screw or nut that i could best describe as having a countersunk head but the body is of cylindrical form with an internal (female) thread.
Secondly, where can i buy some.
Size M4 and aprox. 15mm lg.

Do you mean a mirror screw? This has a tapped hole in the top to receive a chromed or coloured dome.

I know exactly what you mean. These two-piece shafted fixings are used to join adjacent kitchen cabinets together. An M4 hole is drilled through the side wall of adjacent cabinets, the long section is passed through the hole in one cabinet and the threaded stub section is screwed tightly into the internally threaded section.

I'm having difficulty finding them on the Screwfix and B&Q websites, but I know that B&Q stock them. Try asking for cabinet joiner along with my description to a member of staff at B&Q. I'm sure they'll find them in the store.

ChuckFicke. You were exactly correct, they are for doorhandles and the company Comp Tools do sell the exact part. at 59p each. I need 10. + p & p of £7.99 !!
