Yes you can - there are some companies who will take the case on for you, too, although you have to pay them a fee. I'm trying it at the moment, the bank is demurring, wanting to wait until the judicial hearing, but we are pursuing it. The company says that where individuals pursue the claim, there's a possibility of leaving out vital information (well they would say that, wouldn't they) but they know all the terminology and who and where to pressure. I'm having to pay the company 20% of any money received, but IMO it's 20% of money I wouldn't have at all if the claim wasn't being made, so I don't resent it. You don't pay anything, either, until the refund is cleared and in your bank. I won't advertise by saying who it is, but thus far it's been worth it to me to use an intermediary.
