What was the first car you drove?

But say whether it was (il)legal and whether it was on private land or a proper road etc.

How far did you go? did anythin bad/ interesting happen?

First thing was a Fordson tractor, first car was a MK2 escort at about 14, both on a farm so both legally.

First car on the road was a rover SD1.

I am 62,have never had a car,and cannot drive.
Trouble is I have always lived in London,and you are spoilt here for public transport.

I learnt in a Triumph Toledo

It was a Triumph Spitfire, and yes, it was legal!...........showing my age now!.........lol.......

A Talbot solara it was old and they were'nt being made anymore it cost £250 We toured Scotland England and Wales in it and sold it for £250..... It had different faults at different times. For a while it had no lights so we had to be home by dark. For ever it seamed to over heat so we had to avoid traffic jams. The heater never worked so it always steamed up. I could go on ha ha. we had it 1987-1990.
