I only wanted a book

Have just tried to pre-order a book from Waterstones.

Inputted my debit card details. Rejected . Checked, tried again. Rejected. Tried once more. Actually do want to read this book. Rejected. Never had this problem before.

What next? Take a bus, then walk to the bookshop? I could have done that in the first place but did not think it necessary 63 days before publication.

Wait for it to come into the library?

I wanted to part with my money, to support a shop, to underpin royalties, to be able to read a book more than once.

OK will just add another few quid and buy a bottle of Scotch instead.

Wonder which will last longer?

Very Lottie.....and the difference is I'll use the PC.
I've never had problems with Amazon either Lottie. I placed an order on Sunday afternoon and it's just arrived.
LOL!! I know what you mean. This is a lightweight Vac that I can actually leave upstairs. I can't get the Dyson up the stairs (my excuse for not doing much hoovering up there)!! Is 'hoovering' an accepted dictionary word now!!

I have never had a new PC. Son is in the computer business and I do very well!!
Yep, Naomi, I always choose the free delivery option and it still comes really promptly!! I have just opened my emails and amazon have credited me with 96p for a pre release order price promise!!
Well this one is 8 years old and starting to be quite unreliable so I decided to treat my self.........my brother is going to come and set it all up for me.
Me too. I ordered Dexter is Delicious on 22nd and it arrived this morning 25th. No charge for postage. Great!
