Opening websites
6 Answers
Is there any way I can have more than one website open at the same time? What I mean is, if I'm in AB for example and I want to look something up in Google, I open Google from my favourites list but that then shuts down AB which is a pain in the fundamental orifice! The only way I can have two pages open at the same time is if I open one of them from a link. I'm running Windows 98 with IE6.

(or use the shortcut on your start menu). Or to use google in the same window you can download a google taskbar type thing from the google website which adds the search bit to your internet explorer window.
Better still - use Opera. This browser lets you have multiple web pages open at once, in a Multi Document Interface (MDI) style. So you can ctrl-tab between the documents, but all your web pages count as only one item on the windows taskbar.
Opera is a nice browser anyway, it's small and fast, and you can use mouse gestures to do things like close the current window, open a new window etc etc. It's much nicer than clicking buttons or using keyboard shortcuts, believe me!
