Can you open it 'just a little' to see if water comes out?
If it's not draining the chances are the filter is blocked and it's that causing the problem.

The water in the machine will pour out the front when you remove the filter.
If it simply wont work, the chances are that the motor brushes are gone. £7 from espares plus an online video on how to do it.
How would motor brushes stop it from emptying?
Your filter may well be blocked as Chuck says .. here's how to check..

Yes .. mjwman ..
The brushes have fallen out and dropped into the filter .. which is now blocked.
So ..
Either filter is blocked .. or the main pipe from the drum to it. .. or
The pump has failed.
Can you hear the pump running on an empty cycle?
No need to be sarcastic! If the brushes are worn and "it won't go on any program" then the drum will not turn or spin and this could cause the pump not to kick in. So up yours wise guys!
The pump is powered independantly from the timer unit and not by the drum motor.
Sure, if the drum motor brushes become badly worn, it will not turn.
This does not prevent the timer unit firing the pump though.
'could cause' was an interesting theory ...

Please elaborate. Thanks.
@ alavahalf - do you work for 'espares' - you seem to be doing an awful lot of advertising for them lol
He IS ESpares : )
C'mon Purple-Popple ... no I dont work for the aforementioned company.
Dont you agree it all becomes a lot easier when someone who knows what they are talking about explains it ... along with moving pictures.

Otherwise all you have is the rest of us trying to offer vague answers to vague questions.

Anyhow carol has not returned with more questions .. so we can only assume she watched the video and found the answer ... or not ?
