Pattaya Thailand

We are thinking of going here this summer, but it will be with a 10 and 12 year old. I know the reputation of Pat is somewhat lewd but I keep reading that there is a lot for families to do and that you can bypass the seediness. Anyone been there and can advise on the suitability of this resort for families. Hua Hin is the next suggestion but I'm worried there won't be enough there to keep the kids occupied.

We're doing Bangkok the last 2 nights, the kids are so excited, every time we ask them where they would like to go on holiday it's always Thailand without hesitation, not even a whiff of Florida Disney...........thank God.
Ahh completely agree, I have been to disney world too. Not my kinda of thing at all!
Some of the greatest food I've had was on my travels in Thailand, I'm dying to go back there.
Who are you flying with? As I know someone mentioned that the long flights are problematic. But I flew with emirates when I went there, and it was fanastic, I remember commenting that I could've gone all the way to Christchurch without a problem.
So many films, games and music to choose from.
You should go to the Grand Palace in Bangkok, it is very beautiful!
