Was David Cameron right when he said yesterday "end this human rights insanity", as judges rule paedophiles and rapists should have chance to get off sex offenders' register?

Well in the following case it seems that these particular judges are also fed-up with the human rights insanity, when they dismissed these five traitors appeal against their conviction for hurling hate-filled abuse at our soldiers.

The judges apply the law as it is written or interpreted. As long as governments continue to enact laws which are not properly considered in order to assuage "public opinion" there will be all manner of loopholes in those laws which will be found by clever lawyers.

The correct solution is for governments to draft legislation properly and let it be considered properly by parliament before it is passed and enacted, not to come up with quick fixes just to satisfy the media and public.

The sex offenders register was set up a year before the Human Rights Act came into force, and was amended 5 years after it came into force. You'd think that with 5 years experience of the workings of the Human Rights Act, the government could have come up with an amendment which took into account all aspects of the Human Rights Act, but obviously they didn't.

Still, the judgements do give governments an excuse to have a go at the judiciary instead of addressing the problems inherent in the laws which are being applied.

The problem is, that the Human Rights Act was drafted in Brussels. Blairs Government brought it onto the statute books without, seemingly, considering the misuse that would ensue
