i AM LOOKING TOWARDS BUYING AN ELECTRIC POWER CHAIR. I'VE TRIED OUT THE MOBILITY SCOOTERS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE RA AND OSTEOPOROSIS AND THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ME. CAN ANYONE RECCOMMEND A CHAIR , ONE THAT HAS 'FULL SUSPENSION' 'RANGE 25 MILES' AND '5 MILES AN HOUR', WHICH I BELIEVE IS THE MAXIMUM SPEED. WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK.
MANY THANKS.

It might be worth getting in touch with your local NHS wheelchair service to see if they have a test centre where you can go and try out different models. By and large, traditional electric wheelchairs aren't terribly well designed for use on roads and pavements. Be careful about having reps bring chairs to the house for you to try as some can be pushy.

I used to have a chair, but I never felt secure enough in it in case it lurched forward in a pothole, and it never felt safe on a pavement with a lot of drop kerbs into peoples driveways and slanted pavements. The only good thing I found with them was the turning circle, very useful in shops. I now have a Buggie type.
