Form would have meant that it was a smooch with a chap, vibes......although I do recall (when I was a prefect) that having consumed the greater part of my best friend's dad's cocktail cabinet prior to arriving at the school disco, I almost outed myself with a rather stunning third year girl...

My last school disco was in 1985 and the song that always takes me back is I Want To Know What Love Is by Foreigner. I got to slow dance with the girl I'd fancied for 18 months but was too shy to ask out. That was the furthest I ever got with her. :-/

I don't remember much about school discos but shortly after I left school I used to
go to a friday night country and western do and the band always used to end with
''crying time''. I think it was sung originally by Ray Charles.
