re; moving a folder

vehelpfulguy,I don't appear to be able to get past step 6, when i click on move to, it doesn't give me a shared document choice, but thanks for your advice...I'll just keep trying some how..

I am at home now and have XP Home in front of me.

When I open my "My Documents" folder I get a list on the left titled "Other Places"  

When I open up the "Other Paces" list one of them shows "Shared Documents", do you get that ?

If you do, logon as your husband and drag your folder into the "Shared Documents" folder, then log on as yourself, and drag it OUT of Shared Documents into your "My Documents"

It would help to know the operating system you are on.

See if you can find a "System Information" entry on the menus,  it may be under Accessories, then System Tools.

Select System Information and tell me your OS Name (Operating System).

Yipeee,I did it,hey thanks for the advice, in the end I stuck the folder in the c:drive and switched it that way (well i think i did) it tookme  3 hours of stress to suss it.

and if I need more advice I'm gonna ask you..

p.s apparently I'm on XP too, and when I open my "other places" I don't appear to get "shared documents" but that might be because I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing..I'm teaching myself..trial and error..

Glad you did it in the end.

There are easier ways of doing it if you know how,  but I decided to keep it simple.
