How do hotels fill in their census form?

Do they have to register every guest that is residing in the hotel on the night of the 27th March 2011?

I thought they would only send the census to residential addresses? so I doubt the hotel would get sent a census...

Yes, hotel will get a census. There are people employed called census ennumerators who go to all hotels/old folks homes/convents/youth hostels etc etc and hand out the forms in person and explain that everyone staying overnight on that date must be includied in the forms
As Cazzzzzzz says. It's a business...
ah yes, of course, hospitals as well
but what if they give a person staying at a hotel a census and they also send one to his home address?
One of my sisters has taken the job of census ennumerator and the list of premises she has to visit to hand out forms surprised me
are you in direct competition with mollykins mom?
The hotelier fills out the hotel census. The guest fills out his own census at home
lol cazzz
"........If you are staying in a hotel, but have an address where you usually live, you should be counted as a visitor at the hotel. You should be included as a usual resident on the questionnaire sent to the address where you usually live...."
