Xerox 4800 Scanner

I have one of the above - and need to connect it to my new laptop - have installed the driver from the Xerox website, but remember using something called Paperport some time ago when I used it with a previous laptop - and I can't find the disc for Paperport .... help!! What do I do?

Maybe I am being thick RATTER, but there appears to be a $99 charge for the download, which seems a tad steep??

I'll assume that it's windows7?

In which case click on the start button and type scanner into the search box at the bottom and the scanner wizard should be shown at the top of the start menu.

Still not working guys - have downloaded the drive but laptop still stays it can't connect to scanner ............. when I had it working beforee it used something called PaperPort - do I need drivers for this too?? Confused!!
