I doubt it tinker,

but what I dont understand is on seeing the latest news tonight, they said that they have stopped the helicopters and workers from dousing water on the problem, as its a danger.

Dont know much about radiation but couldn't they wear protective suits, or isnt that good enough?

Its scary actually TrT! Japan is prone to eartquakes isnt it!? And has all this radiation and nucleaf stuff- bit frightening!! Those poor poor people! I had a cheek to moan about snow yesterday keep reminding myself about those poor folk! ...

So do they plan to just let it burn or whatever!. Not much ideas myself but i think it can burn skin! People near to it will end up so ill? And the rest, in years to come.....
The radiation levels on the site are at such a level that protective suits won't do much good.... they have to get past reactor 3 in order to get to reactor 4 which is the one where the water levels are falling, and they can't risk it.
When Chernobyl went up have a look how it spread

Holy mother of god jack thats scary...but then i guess were exposed to lots of things daily is it worth losing sleep over? Xx
I was listening to Today this morning on Radio 4 and according to the Prof on there it's nothing like the spread or intensity from Chernobyl. The graphite melted in Chernobyl and according to him thats not going to happen on this one. He said he doubted that even Tokyo would feel the full effects.... but we can only wait and see and pray for all those poor people in Japan. I think you'll be perfectly safe Tink
No, it's not worth losing sleep over tink, but you can have my sore finger if you really want to lose some sleep :o(
My God this is scary jack

I think we are all going to be safe tinks....please dont worry, it'll kill you before the radiation does x
Apparently there are still sheep in Wales that none will go near due to Chernobyl...but Naz might be the best one to coment on that ;o)
There were also livestock in Cumbria affected by Chernobyl.
I dont think the authorities give you full picture so as to stop mass panic. My heart went out to that pcture of a small boy being checked over for radiation and how it will affect his life.
