give her some vouchers for your time. To be spent when she needs a hand with housework, gardening etc.

Go for a walk together, or go window shopping.

Thats true and it will be the best wee family in the world :) I hate mothers day, I always get those emails that say show your mother how much you love her or treat your mother and it bugs the life out of me because it just reminds me of what I'm missing out on
