Is it just me or are modern song lyrics getting more and more 'adult' or is it jsut that now I'm older I'm realising their true meanings? This doesn't really apply to old songs as they were all innocent and gay . . . in the old sense of the word.
if I am right, when did start? probably the 60s I imagine . . .
And "Hey Big Spender" did not leave much to the imagination.
And how about "Love for Sale" by Cole Porter
Love for sale,
Appetising young love for sale.
Love that's fresh and still unspoiled,
Love that's only slightly soiled,
Love for sale.
Who will buy?
Who would like to sample my supply?
Who's prepared to pay the price,
For a trip to paradise?
Love for sale
