Just a personal observation, but WHAT was Burt Bacharach thinking??

I guess Burt sees it as a new way to work his classic songs.

Ronan sees it as a way to appease the millions of people who don;t actually like music, but enjoy background noise when they are hoovering.

The music appreciators who recognise the diametrically opposed levels of talent involved here, from the greatest to the lowest, and wonder what black art has been invoked to do this!

Whenever I hear Burt Bacharach I imagine the wonderful voice of Dionne Warwick.
I can`t see Ronan Keating singing his music.

Ronan has such a thick Irish accent when he sings all we`ll hear is "Raindropsh keep falling on my haird" and "When you shee me walking down the shtreet"

When asked what I believe to be the finest pop single ever made, I have no hesitation in naming 'Walk On By' by Dionne Warwick which brings together everything a great pop song needs - a sublime arrangement and vocal, a memorable tune, an aching lyric, and an underlying feeling of class.

In fact, everything that any Ronan Keating song lacks - inlcuding his version of this classic.
