The OP has a VAT number and wants to find the company that VAT number is registered to. WebCheck on the CH website will allow to search for a company by its company registration ID or name - how do you search by VAT number...?

don't think theres anything free - you could try calling HMRC or simply google there VAT number or they have any web presence

I don't believe there's any way of telling who the VAT number belongs to.

Twenty20's europa link does usually show the company name (you do need to know the country e.g. GB though). HTH.
