left to my own devices it will prob be beer with lashings of nicotine
Food! It's just another day isn't it?
Mercia, I only have to read about a cake and.....wallop!.....it's gone straight to my hips. :o(
Classylady - I'm not overly religious but I do enjoy an opportunity to cook luscious food that we have the time to enjoy. Having a long weekend means the chores can be spread out and we can sit down and eat a good meal, relax and enjoy it.
I eat like a sparrow so how come I'm the size of a golden eagle?

as we're visiting our sons, we may have lunch at some little eatery in clapham recommended by son number two, or we may just head home instead and pick up something on the way. used to do a special easter sunday meal when all the family were around, always with blue peter easter cake for pud (a dense chocolate cake made with a jar of mayo instead of butter, decorated with chocolate flake nest and mini eggs)
tonight however we're having costco italian style sausages, roast broc and cauli with ground corriander, and crushed carrot and swede. oh and a jug of onion sauce.
Ethandron - if son is paying suggest Trinity, you won't be disappointed.

BTW, roast broc & cauli w/ coriander is lush! A great recipe.

Mrs chappie, Every big lady I've ever know has always had a lovely, sunny disposition, and from what I read on here, you're no exception. I used to be big before my accident, now I keep my weight down because of my hips. - But I still eat what I like!
eccles, son had better be paying!! have just googled trinity, looks very nice and at £30 for a 3 course sunday lunch not actually too bad in terms of london prices. will be interesting to see what/where he has in mind.
agree about the broc and cauli, somehow intensifies the flavours, my favourite way of doing those two veg.
That's nice of you to say so, mercia. :o)

Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you're back to your usual self now.
