Even though they were first produced in the 1930s I can only recall them being popular in the early 80s
Obviously they are more linked with mod fashion of the 1960s
Lots of clothing companies make them, but if you're looking for something 'proper' then try one from Merc clothing. Not cheap but definitely more 'mod' than something you'd pick up from a cheaper clothing outlet.

I presumed the name came from the TV programme (can't remember the name) that featured a very young Ryan O'Neil, whose character name was Rodney Harrington, and he wore that style of jacket. Just remembered the TV programme was Peyton Place.
