Text in Wordpad

I have some text in My Documents, when I open it, it appears in wordpad, it has the suffix; OCR_DOC TXT. I would like to move it into Word so that I can edit it, but it wont highlight to copy and paste. Help appreciated.

next had to reboot and save files, where are they?
