Am I the only one who is alarmed at the lack of common hygiene in the myriad of cooking shows that bombard the TV highway? Stoking fallen hair back and then touching food that others have to eat seems to be the norm now.
I certainly wouldn't eat at a restaurant where the staff didn't at least tie their long hair back. .

I've taught hundreds of people to cook, and the first thing I stipulate especially to the kids, I get them to shout out the answer to me when I ask: 'What is the most important ingredient in any recipe?' They shout 'Clean hands and nails, and long hair tied back' then I do an inspection, and if all is satisfactory, we carry on!
