Could you describe the problem, please, and the reports you're getting?
Download and run Virus Effect Remover a free program and it check and correct any problems caused by the infection. It also checks for any hidden ones as well. I would also run a boot scan with your antivirus as well.
Ensure your anti virus/malware scanners are up to date and then run in safe mode.

I have since downloaded Avast antivirus which has done a complete scan in safe mode and found a couple of infected files which it moved to the virus vault, It then siggested that it did a boot scan which it did and told me that a couple of java files were causing problems, i have since rebooted normallly and the problem persists, a widow telling mat i am infected and asking for cash to solve it (MS Tools) I will try this Virus effect remover that Galeck suggests then if no joy I will have to wipe the hard drive, thanks for you help

Of course it was not a widow telling me anything at all but a window!!

Avast has finally got rid of it but it has taken another boot scan
Make sure you only have one anti virus scanner active. Ok to have malwarebytes as well but two av scanners can conflict with each other.
