Please can anyone tell me if my husband can travel to Spain on a nigerian settlement visa thank you

You need to confirm from which country you are travelling - visa requirements vary depending on the country of origin.

Since a visa usually has no validity without a passport, I assume that your husband holds a Nigerian passport. If so, and assuming that he isn't in possession of a travel document issued by the Home Office [see below], he will require a visa to visit Spain. The processing time is 4 weeks. The issuance of visas has been outsourced by the Spanish authorities to VFS Global. Their website is here:

The Home Office will issue a valid travel document under certain strict circumstances (e.g. if he is a refugee or if the Nigerian authorities have refused to issue him with a passport). See here:
