iPad and Sky+ App.

I have just acqired an iPad and downloaded the Sky+ App and when I try to record a programme, I am asked to go to Settings and log in with my Sky ID before I can use the facility. I do this with my iPhone without any problem and I don't remember having similar using the app on my iphone initially. Can anyone assist please?
