Death of Doctor Who?
I am an lifelong fan of Doctor Who, from Jon Pertwee, but seen earlier eps since. Whoever cast Matt Smith as the latest Doctor, can't be a fan. He's destroyed it-Matt acts the role either badly, or camp. I disliked Donna as assistant, and didn't 'mind' Amy last year, but she's annoying me now, and, as someone said on here last week the storylines are rubbish since Stephen took over full time, and yet one of the best episodes- The Empty Child -was written by him-maybe he can't cope with the pressure.
I REALLY don't want Doctor Who to end, but unless David Tennant returns,or a similar believable actor takes the role, this series will be the end-and poss destroy the love and following that a new generation discovered when it returned in 2005.

I agree with you entirely. I never wanted it to come back to be honest, I was worried about how they would 'update' it. I didn't like Christopher Ecclestone, and thought that David Tennant was marvellous - arguably the best Doctor ever. He was wonderful, the stories were great, and it was a pleasure to watch. Now Matt Smith has taken over, and Stephen Moffat is doing the writing, half the stories are unfathomable. What I hate the most is this inference to the Doctor and his assistant having a relationship, and possibly a child as per the episode last night. Call me old-fashioned, but that's not what Doctor Who is all about.
